Our beginnings

It started with our first DeafNation Expo in 2003 in Charlotte, North Carolina. Over the years we have expanded to cities across the U.S., and we could not be prouder of our growing community.

After celebrating our 20th anniversary in 2023, we are gearing up for an exciting season in 2026. Each event is a chance to connect, learn and celebrate Deaf culture nationwide.

Our mission: free for everyone

We believe free admission encourages a wide range of participants to experience, share and enrich our community’s culture and language. It is what makes the room what it is — families, students, professionals, first-time visitors and lifelong members of the community, all in one place. Exhibitors and sponsors are what make that possible.
