Perfect timing to witness the Ugandan election campaigns while traveling through Mubende on my way to Kampala. I had the honor of meeting two inspiring Deaf Member of Parliament candidates — Alex Ndeezi and Robert Ssweagudde — both proudly advocating for Deaf rights and equity. Even more powerful to walk alongside Uganda’s Prime Minister, Robinah Nabbanja, during this historic moment. Change begins when Deaf voices are truly seen and heard.
